Perfect- Imperfect

The places I have lived in has shaped my life and who I am -Yorkshire, Angus, Provence and now Dartmoor

Initially I am exploring how Dartmoor has given me space to find renewed resilience, growth and protection. It has allowed me to think about relationship with in my immediate surroundings, and the wider world. Dartmoor’s ancient landscape is both fragile and yet strong.

When I move through the landscape, I observe the trickling steam as it cuts through the wetlands and the granite tors above. I gather many resources from Dartmoor ( dried moss, charcoal heather sticks and dried ferns,) The resources I then use as mark making tools and to create the 2D drawings and 3D forms . .

Thank you to the London Art Biannale 2025 for selecting my piece “Fallen” from this initial starting point.

I am thrilled my work is representing the United Kingdom and that I am one of the 300 artists selected from 60 countries taking part
