Dartmoor Herds
As time moves on, I feel I have developed a unique way of working that truly belongs to me — a process that brings both connection and clarity. My practice continues to evolve through an ongoing project that observes how others interact with Dartmoor: its herds of wild ponies, its isolated figures who pass through, and the fleeting moments when life and landscape intertwine.
I am drawn to the way these moving forms — human and animal — merge with the ancient terrain, often half-seen as the land itself camouflages them. Dartmoor is a place both fragile and unforgiving, yet profoundly gentle. It shapes all who pass through it — those who work, live, or rest — and it continues to shape me as I seek to translate its quiet power and transience into visual form.
